What You Wonder

Who Is Eligible for IVF Treatment?

It involves fertilizing the mother’s egg cells with sperm samples taken from the father outside the uterus, and then placing the resulting embryos into the mother’s uterus.

The treatment must be tailored individually for each patient. Although treatment processes are standardized, additional procedures and therapies should be decided based on the couple's condition.

The obstetrician may apply this treatment to couples who have had regular unprotected intercourse for one year without achieving pregnancy. If the woman is 35 or older, this period should not exceed 6 months.

After that, the couple should consult a specialist and start infertility treatments. This treatment is not applied for every infertility issue. The couple’s health status and diagnosis must first be determined.

The obstetrician applies two methods. In the first, eggs and sperm are placed in the same environment, waiting for natural fertilization. This is called the classical method, but it may not be suitable for every couple.

In the second method, fertilization is performed under a microscope with external assistance. Sperm is directly injected into the egg using a pipette. The method is chosen based on the couple’s condition to ensure the highest success rate.

The treatment methods may cause concerns for the parents-to-be. Especially fears about whether the medications cause cancer, potential genetic problems in the baby, or long-term complications for the parents may arise.

However, the treatment is considered very safe and poses no long-term risks. The biggest risk is treatment failure, which can be emotionally challenging, especially for the mother.

No additional health problems occur in the baby or parents due to the treatment itself. Thus, there is no increased disease risk from the treatment.

Among assisted reproductive techniques, IVF offers the highest success rates. However, success depends on many factors.

The woman’s age, underlying health issues affecting pregnancy, reproductive cell quality, and the couple’s compliance with treatment all influence success.

For women over 35, success decreases due to reduced ovarian reserves. Although no clear age limit is set for men, sperm quality also declines with age. Therefore, age is important for both partners. The clinic’s success also plays a key role.

The doctor’s experience, diagnosis, communication with the couple, and chosen treatment method are major factors affecting success.

Factors that increase the success rate:

  • High ovarian reserve increases success chances.
  • Women under 37 have higher success rates.
  • Quitting smoking and alcohol and adopting a healthy diet before treatment improve outcomes.
  • Overweight women should reach a healthy weight with specialist guidance before treatment.

Genital aesthetic procedures include various surgical and non-surgical treatments.

Genital aesthetic surgeries include:

  • Inner labia aesthetics (Labioplasty)
  • Outer labia aesthetics (Majoraplasty)
  • Clitoral aesthetics (Clitorohudoplasty)
  • Vaginal tightening (Vaginoplasty)
  • Perineal correction (Perineoplasty)
  • Labia majora augmentation (Labia majora filling)
  • G-Shot / O-Shot / V-Shot

For genital aesthetic procedures, it is sufficient that the person is over 18 and feels psychologically ready and determined to undergo the surgery.

For inner labia aesthetics, completion of puberty is sufficient.

If there are deformities, tears, prominent pubic area or aesthetic concerns, the operation can safely be performed knowing that the hymen will not be harmed.

Women may not want to live with any deformity on their body, whether due to genetic reasons or acquired later. When it comes to genital organs, aesthetic needs can be as significant psychologically and physiologically as other cosmetic surgeries.

Especially women with no previous sexual experience may wish to eliminate aesthetic concerns to boost their self-confidence, which is completely normal.

Although there may be concerns that these surgeries could damage the hymen, being a virgin is not an obstacle for genital aesthetic procedures.

Various anomalies in the genital organs may develop due to different reasons. They can be entirely genetic or result from aging and hormonal changes.

Multiple deliveries, tears during childbirth, or trauma may also cause deformations in this area.

Thanks to advances in aesthetic medicine, many deformations can now be corrected better than ever. Problems once seen as fate can now be resolved through aesthetic procedures.

While nose, breast or buttocks surgeries come to mind first, genital aesthetic surgeries are also among the most preferred solutions by women.

These procedures are applied in cases of anatomical disorders, post-delivery deformities, or hymen repair.

They not only provide an aesthetic appearance but also eliminate anomalies that reduce sexual pleasure.

In addition to procedures like labiaplasty for large or thick inner lips due to genetics, functional surgeries such as vaginoplasty are also commonly performed.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), hyaluronic acid, or fat tissue taken from the patient is injected into the G-spot located about 2 cm behind the urethral opening and into other vaginal walls.

This facilitates orgasm and increases sexual pleasure. The same substances can also be injected around the clitoris to enhance sensitivity.

It is a procedure where plasma is separated from the patient’s own blood through a special process and reinjected into the body. The obtained plasma is rich in platelets.

These cells help blood clotting and promote wound healing and cell regeneration through growth factors.

In women’s health, PRP is widely used not only for skin rejuvenation but also in genital aesthetic procedures and IVF treatments.
